Tree of Knowledge 25
This painting, like much of my work, operates in the gaps between various mediums. This one is a combination of collected photo images selected from my archive of personal photos, other artworks and old magazine advertisements digitally collaged and combined with painting, ink, graphite and spray-paint. In the foreground, a large oak tree stands as a visual reference to Joyce Kilmer's poem Trees. ("I shall never see a "painting" as lovely as a tree") into the roots, an underworld of alien misfits, the true inheritors of the future.
