Super Nature

This was inspired by an album single, Super Nature by Cerrone, a Disco Italio music producer. This album cover both attracted and repulsed me the most from my father's collection. I always knew exactly where in the stack that he kept this one in case I wanted to scare myself with it. Cerrone looked like a cult leader, or mad doctor surrounded by half animal half human hybrids crawling out from under a gurney with a filleted cadaver. There was a real dramatic separation of image and music with this one, as the album itself sounded like your average long and repetitive disco tune sung by an uncredited diva. The disco ball is a magical presence. Every Christmas, my father used to replace the chandelier in our living room with a disco ball to make it look like it was snowing.
